Veg Pulao is simple yet one of the tasty recipes that you can try. This is made with full-grain rice and many vegetables. For children or adults who don’t eat vegetables in a regular pattern, this is best as they would not be able to avoid such tasty rice preparation.

Full Grain Rice
Finely Sliced Orange carrots
Finely chopped Whole Spices*
Ginger garlic paste
Ghee / Oil
Chopped Cauliflower (Optional)
Chopped Coriander Leaves
Rinse the rice in the water till it becomes transparent and soak it for 30 min.
Heat a deep thick bottom pot or pan and add all the whole spices as mentioned earlier and fry them till oil gets splattered.
Add onion and fry it till onion turns slightly golden.
Add ginger-garlic paste and fry it till that soft aroma smell goes away.
Now, add chopped tomatoes and sauté them for 2-3 min.
Now add all remaining vegetables and sauté them till they cook well. Cover lid if you are having quantity of vegetables.
Add Pulao masala in the prepared mixture and mix it well.
Now add soaked rice and mix it well with the mixture prepared.
Add water and lemon juice. Mix well and stir.
Cover the lid tightly and let rice cook well on low flame till water is absorbed and rice is well cooked.
Check in between if water is enough to cook the rice as some grain might take extra water to cook well.
Once rice grains are cooked well, switch off the flame and let Pulao stand for 5 min.
Serve hot Pulao with raita and Papad.
