Apple Halwa is an easy and delicious, sweet Indian recipe made using Indian apples. This is prepared with the use of Apple, nut and ghee. No milk, sooji is used here. This is a useful recipe when a sweet craving hits home a lot.

Ingredients for Apple halwa Recipe
Indian Apple | 1 kg |
Sugar | 1 Cup |
Ghee | 4 tablespoons |
Cinnamon Powder | 1 teaspoon |
Vanila extract | 1 teaspoon |
Mixed dry fruits (Cashews, Almonds, Kismis, Pista) | ½ cup (Finely chopped) |
Water | 2 tablespoons |
Instructions: -
Rinse the apple in the water and peeled them cleanly
Now take off the seed section carefully by chopping the apples quarterly.
Finely chop the apples into small pcs.
Take a medium or big size Kadai and add ghee to it.
Add chopped apples and sauté them on medium-low flame for 5-7 min. Some apple pcs will soften, and some will not.
Then add 1 tablespoon of water to it and mix the mixture again.
Now cover the Kadai with the lid and let the apples soften and become mushy.
Keep checking the mixture so that it does not get stuck to the bottom of the kadai.
Once the mixture starts thickening, add the sugar to it and mix well.
Keep stirring the mixture till the time ghee starts splitting from the sides.
Now add cinnamon powder and vanilla extract.
Mix the mixture well so that the mixture gets mixed well and gets a uniform taste.
After 3-4 min switch off the flame and serve hot apple halwa garnishing nuts and dry fruits.
